General Meeting – Christmas Bird Count Results

We invite you to join Tony Licata as he reveals the results of our annual Christmas Bird Count. A slideshow, prepared by Bill Marr with help from Larry Behrens, will accompany Tony’s presentation. The slideshow contains photos taken by our members.
The Christmas Bird Count is true citizen science as the national Audubon organization collates all the data and uses it to show population changes over the past 116 years since it first began.
The local Peace River Audubon count was held on Saturday, December 19th and encompassed a fifteen mile diameter circle, the center point being approximately downtown Punta Gorda.
