The Peace River Audubon Society will hold a night hike on Tuesday, March 3. Participants should meet at 6:30 pm at Hathaway Park 35461 Washington Loop Road.
Much of the natural world wakes up when we go to bed, making nocturnal discoveries particularly exciting. We will be calling for barred owls, one of Florida’s most talkative creatures. So, it will also be important to exercise all of your senses and a quiet attitude. Walking will be minimal, but participants should bring insect repellent and dress appropriately.
The public is welcome. For more information, contact Ron Mills at 941-575-6968 or rtmillsfl@embarqmail.com .
