About the event
Last year we saw 41 species and were entertained by a Swallow-tailed Kite who circled over us for twenty minutes. Our species list can be found on ebird at https://ebird.org/checklist/S166526361. This large WMA is located about 15 miles northwest of Ft. Myers, or five miles from Punta Gorda. Fred C. Babcock/Cecil M. Webb Wildlife Management Area is Florida's oldest wildlife management area and protects 80,772 acres just southeast of Punta Gorda in Charlotte County. The area is accessed from its own exit off of Interstate-75. To download a recreation guide, go to https://myfwc.com/media/26170/babcockwebb_recguide.pdf.
