Birding Backpack Check-out at Library

Peace River Audubon is kicking off a birding backpack loan program at the Port Charlotte Public Library.

Did you know that you can check out a backpack with binoculars and field guides to go birding?

It is an exciting way to learn about birds who live in our local community.  You will be joining

45 million other birders who currently enjoy this fast growing nature hobby.  Each backpack contains

one set of adult binoculars and one set of children’s binoculars along with a Florida Birds Pocket Guide.

A brochure will be included that lists local free guided birding walkabouts (open to the public) that you
