Cancelled Field Trip to Ding Darling Nat'l Wildlife Refuge

Exciting island birding adventure with Sanibel Expert Karl Werner! Timed during spring migration!!

This is mostly a driving outing with limited walking, but don’t forget to bring sunscreen, water and snacks.

 Admission to the refuge is $10 (the Golden Age Pass is good for admission, only one per car is needed.)

Directions to J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge 1 Wildlife Dr, Sanibel, FL Take Interstate 75 South,then take Daniels Pkwy exit 131 toward CR-879 onto Daniels Pkwy. Turn left onto Pratt Pkwy/Six mile Cypress Pkwy/CR865. Continue onto Gladiolus Dr/CR865s. Turn slight left onto Summerlin Rd/CR-869. Summerlin/CR-869 becomes CR-867s. CR-867 becomes Causeway Blvd (toll $6.00) Turn right onto Periwinkle Way. Turn slight right onto Palm Ridge Rd, which becomes Sanibel-Captiva Rd.
