About the event
Cedar Point Environmental Park is a 115-acre Charlotte County nature preserve on Lemon Bay in Englewood, Florida, where pine flatwoods cover more than 60 percent of the site and are joined by scrub, mangroves, salt marshes, and tidal wetlands. It was purchased by Charlotte County in 1992 and trails were established in 1995. An extension of the Charlotte Harbor Environmental Center formed in 1987 by Charlie Caniff, former president of Peace River Audubon
was opened in this park in 1998. Mike Weisensee, a multi certified nature enthusiast with a passion for teaching birders will lead this CHEC walk.
