About the event
Rick and Debbie Read will present a fascinating review of their trip to Antarctica with beautiful photography and colorful stories. Why would anyone want to go to the coldest, driest, windiest place on earth? Because Rick & Debbie went in their summer, so they missed those extremes. They saw striking & beautiful scenery, thousands of penguins, seabirds, seals and whales! They will share images, videos and stories of what your trip to Antarctica could be like."They did an outstanding presentation on African Birds last season.
Rick's Audubon background started in 2000 when he joined the Sycamore Audubon Society in West Lafayette, Indiana . Rick was know as the Birdman of White County in Indiana where he had been a member of the Indiana Audubon Society since 2016. He started a Junior Nature Club after-school program for all our Monticello elementary schools. He lead bird walks and participated in bird counts.
