About the event

Lemon Bay Park is a 210-acre nature-based park located in Englewood with 1.7 miles of shoreline on the beautiful Lemon Bay Aquatic Preserve. Natural habitats of the park include a black mangrove forest, a mangrove fringe along the shoreline, and pine and scrubby flatwoods. 157 bird species have been sighted there. Around 45% of the time you can catch sight of a Florida Scrub Jay. Recently, head winds knocked down some migrating warblers including Blackpoll, Worm-eating, Black-and-White, Black-throated Green Warblers. https://ebird.org/checklist/S227086093 32 species sighted April 19th on ebird. Denise is an excellent birder who will help all participants locate the best viewing areas.
