PRAS Christmas Count Day

Beginning birders are welcome. It is an exciting way to meet area birders and become a citizen science participant! Volunteers collect data that power critical conservation work. Data has been used for bird population trend detection, weather effects driving changes in specific specie behaviors and for management or governmental conservation policy decisions. Approximately three hundred peer-reviewed scientific papers have been published using the 127+ years of continous CBC data collection.
