In light of the current Corona 19 virus epidemic, the Peace River Audubon Society Board of Directors has decided to cancel this year’s annual fundraiser banquet to be held on Thursday, March 19. Given guidelines by the CDC and a number of other federal, state and local agencies, we feel this is the responsible thing to do.
Although we will gladly accept all or part of your ticket cost in donation, we will be happy to return your full ticket price. For refund, please e-mail Sandy Artman at sjartman@comcast.net. Please include to whom the refund check should be made, the amount you wish returned (if not a full refund), as well as a full mailing address by no later than March 30, 2020.
We are disappointed, as we had a great crowd and the banquet committee had a great event planned. However, the well-being of our members and guests are of first concern. The regular April 16 members meeting is still scheduled. At that time, we plan to have the Photo Contest winners announced and awards presented unless circumstances dictate otherwise. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. May you find this as an opportunity to relax, away from the crowds, and enjoy some birding in our great Florida outdoors.
