PHOTOGRAPHY TRIP to CELERY FIELDS

On Wednesday, Nov 4th, we will have our first PRAS Photography Group trip of the season. We will be going to Celery Fields just east of I-75 off of Fruitville. The location of the site attracts a large number of diverse bird species and is an ideal location for wildlife watching.  Mainly consisting of open marshlands, deep ponds, shallow pools, and canals, the the site is edged by oaks, willows, and pines on the eastern and southern boundaries. We will leave from the parking lot behind McDonald’s on Peachland in Port Charlotte at 6:00 A.M. Please arrive by 5:50 a.m. to allow for a prompt departure. The attached photo of a Juvenile Purple Gallinule was taken at Celery Fields by Jerry Waters, who will be the trip leader.
