DECEMBER 2nd – PHOTOGRAPHY GROUP FIELD TRIP

Our trip for December is this Wednesday. The destination is Bunche Beach.  Bunche Beach is located between Sanibel Island and Fort Myers Beach.  Bunche Beach is a mudflat beach.  It is a great place to photograph shore birds, wading birds, pelicans, gulls, terns, and ospreys.

Meet at the Burnt Store Car Pool Location which is at the Publix parking lot south of Punta Gorda at Burnt Store Road.  Meet a 6:00, and depart by 6:15.

This should get the group to Bunche Beach while the tide is coming in after a low tide.  This is a great time to be there.  The water is very shallow, so you may want to wade and approach the birds from the water side.

Below are several photographs Jerry Waters made at Bunche Beach. Jerry  will be out of town, but Ken Miller has graciously volunteered to head up this trip.  Jerry and Ken made a trip to Bunche Beach last week. We appreciate Ken’s thoughtfulness and help.
