The COVID-19 pandemic has affected us all. Fortunately, the Peace River Audubon Society has been able to maintain our economic and mission stability thus far. Many nonprofit organizations have not. In trying to meet basic needs for food, medical supplies and more while having their fund raising efforts derailed, they face serious challenges.
Therefore, we have decided not to compete for funding in this year’s Community Foundation of Sarasota’s Giving Challenge. Instead, on April 28 and 29, we strongly urge you to give your PRAS donation to a favorite nonprofit that is currently struggling to fill any of the many critical needs the pandemic has wrought. Be assured, we appreciate our supporters and hope that you will continue your support after this crisis has passed. In the meantime, stay safe and enjoy Nature’s solitude.
