Walkabout Report 3/3/2020 Night Walk at Hathaway Park

The night walk on Tuesday evening (3/3/20) was well-attended with a total of 42 participants.  The weather cooperated with a beautiful evening of warm temperatures and clear skies.

As night fell, the group engaged in some sensory activities and then moved a short distance to the amphitheater area.  There, we began owl calling, and after a few minutes, the Barred Owls came in to give us a good show.  As the hike moved on down the trail to try to get a look at flying squirrels, the owls followed.  To everyone’s delight, they  continued their cackling on and off until the hike ended.
