At our recent board meeting of the Peace River Audubon Society, we considered whether to open up our general meetings (including our Annual Banquet) to in-person or to continue with the ZOOM venue. Regretfully due to the re-imergence of Covid 19 and especially the omicron variant, we have decided to continue with the ZOOM approach.
This has been a difficult decision, but we felt it was the safest in the long run. All of us are suffering from ‘pandemic fatigue’, and we miss seeing our friends and associates in person. Particularly, with respect to the Annual Banquet, there is a great deal of planning and effort to bring it to a successful conclusion – our banquet committee already has put in many hours to prepare. To delay this decision any longer would be difficult to recover from.
Here’s hoping 2022 brings us to a safer resolution to the Covid pandemic. If you haven’t been fully vaccinated, please consider doing so, and that we may resume a fuller and healthier manner of living life to the fullest.
